Ms Ong Huey Hong

Executive Director, Industry Technology Transformation, Singapore Tourism Board

Ong Huey Hong is currently Executive Director, Industry Technology Transformation, part of the Board's Technology Transformation Group. In this capacity, she develops strategies and drives plans to transform tourism industry through innovation and data analytics. In particular, she launched Tcube, or the Tourism Technology Transformation Cube, a hybrid innovation space that brings STB’s digital initiatives, resources and thought leadership content onto a single platform to support tourism sector’s digital transformation.

Prior to this appointment, Huey Hong was Director, Hotels and Sector Manpower when she led the Hotel Industry Transformation Map (ITM) to transform the hotel industry for sustainable growth. Huey Hong was a Board member of the Hotel Licensing Board.

Ms Wong Jiali

Deputy Director of Business Innovation & Data Partnerships, Singapore Tourism Board (Moderator)

As Deputy Director of the BIDP team, Jiali currently leads a team to drive digital initiatives and resources to support Singapore tourism sector’s digital transformation, though Tcube. Tcube, or the Tourism Technology Transformation Cube, is a hybrid innovation space that brings STB's digital initiatives, resources and thought leadership content onto a single platform. Key initiatives include the Singapore Tourism Accelerator and Data Analytics SHift programme (DASH).

Jiali has over 10 years of cross-functional experiences across project management, strategy and business development in the tourism sector under her belt.

Dr. Kevin Lim

Deputy Director, Digital Innovation & Transformation, National Gallery Singapore

Working at National Gallery Singapore for the past decade, Kevin Lim has evolved through roles in Visitor Experience, to Corporate Planning, to Innovation at the Gallery.

The Digital Innovation & Transformation (DIT) group is aimed at developing new ways for visitors to experience the Gallery:

1. Y-Lab looks at proof of problem, and scans the horizon for startups to collaborate with

2.Co:Lab X looks at proof of market, through viable in-house innovations

3. Digital Delivery look at proof of scale, by growing viable solutions reliably and sustainably

Kevin Lim graduated with a doctorate in Communication theory from the State University at Buffalo, New York and his work has revolved around the reflexive architecture of society and online social networks.

Ms Chloe Chan

Executive Director, Chan Brothers Prestige

Chloe Chan currently manages Chan Brothers Prestige, a Virtuoso member. It is the luxury division of Chan Brothers Travel focusing on customized and high-end travel. She is responsible for managing and running the business. A Serial Venture Builder, at Mandai Wildlife Group- she built eco-tourism marketplace platform (Mandai Experiences) to promote sustainability in Tourism. In 2018, she spearheaded the project Travel Envoys Network, empowering members of the public to become Travel Agents. It was the first-of-its-kind in Asia, gig-economy style business model to provide freelancers and/or the unemployed with additional income, providing them with free training and platform to earn a passive income as travel agents.

Mr Kyaw Moe Aung

VP Global I.T., Millennium Hotels and Resorts

WAung leads the Global Information Technology Organization at Millennium Hotels & Resorts (MHR), focusing and driving technology transformation, develop and deploy IT infrastructure and tools to achieve competitive edge and business continuity, enhancing IT standard and compliance within global and regional statutory requirements. His experience spans various technology solutions focusing on future-proofing business operations through digital transformation and the introduction of guest-oriented applications and solutions for the group.

Aung provides the leadership role in IT operations and projects domain, overseeing regional and corporate IT teams across four continents, as well as safeguarding and improving IT security domains. Prior to the Global VP-IT role, Aung served as the Regional Director of IT, managing cross-functional initiatives within the Asia Pacific Region.

Over the past few years, Aung and Millennium Hotels group has been working closely with Singapore Tourism Board on various projects, initiatives, and activities. Several projects have been successfully deployed in MHR hotels, under STB’s kind support. From service delivery and autonomous cooking robot to RFID laundry tracking, pre-arrival check-in experience to post-stay satisfaction survey, loyalty program to analytics and statistics dashboard, overhauling dining experience, productivity improvement, robotic process automation and green initiatives, to support STB Hotel Sustainability Roadmap and Singapore Green Plan 2030.

In his 25 years of hospitality operation and IT leadership experience, he has also worked with other multinational hotel brands based in Singapore, Hong Kong, Dubai and other gateway cities across Asia and Greater China Region.

Lumitics

Lumitics is a Singapore AI food tech company that offers a smart food waste tracking solution that uses sensors and computer vision to seamlessly measure, track and identify all food waste thrown away in kitchens. The data collected as a feedback loop to help chefs better manage their food waste to reduce their food cost. Their solution has helped hotel chains such as Accor, Four Seasons and Hyatt reduce up to 40% of their food waste and up to 8% of their food cost and meet their ESG targets.
